A schematic diagram of the device developed by Wang et al. [24]. The sample and buffer are introduced into the channel from the two inlets located on the left. As the cells pass through the region of interest (ROI) they are captured by the CCD camera. The images are processed in real-time to locate cells of interest. A control signal is then generated positioning the optical trap on the cell of interest. After capture it is moved to the desired outlet
